Adjunct Faculty, Department of Environmental Studies

My role at Huxley College is to provide assistance to Huxley faculty and students with regards to spatial analysis, geographic data sets, software and other things GIS-related…
I am the Assistant Director of the Spatial Institute (SI), working on maps, web maps, spatial analysis and technical aspects of faculty and student research. I also maintain the SI Spatial Analysis Lab (SAL) website. On it you will find lots of GIS stuff (including GIS, GPS and RS links, as well as information on the SAL and local GIS data sources).
I teach classes as an Adjunct Faculty member for Huxley College of the Environment‘s Department of Environmental Studies, including
- ENVS-418 / 518 (formerly ENVS-321) Computer Cartography
- ENVS-320 Introduction to GIS
- ENVS-499 / ESCI-499 Huxley Speaker Series
- I also lead GPS workshops
Check out some of my Maps… including the Map of the Salish Sea & Surrounding Basin. Also, the WWU Campus Map.
My thesis work was on creating a spatial-temporal GIS for archival map data.
